Grilled Beef with Broccoli Cream
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 4 rump steaks or sirloin steak, 2cm high
Broccoli Cream
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of grated onion
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 1 cup (tea) milk
- 1 cup chopped broccoli (cooked)
- 1/2 cup (tea) cream cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation mode
To make the broccoli cream, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion for 1 minute. Sprinkle with the flour and fry for 1 minute, stirring. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until it thickens. Add the broccoli, cottage cheese, salt, and pepper and mix. Keep warm. Heat the oil in a thick skillet, preferably cast iron, over high heat and brown 2 steaks at a time, 2 minutes on each side for rare and 3 minutes for medium. Place on a platter, pour in the cream and serve, if desired, with lettuce and tomato salad.
